Kirsten’s passion is adventure and pushing beyond the boundaries. Whether it’s exploring another country and its culture or hiking in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, Kirsten is always on the move and seeking to learn something new. She brings that same passion for adventure and learning to her work.

Kirsten graduated from the University of California, Davis, with honors and received her PharmD degree from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). She completed two years of residency at UCSF, including a specialized residency in pediatric oncology, during which time she implemented a pharmaceutical services program in the Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplantation Unit.

Early in her career, Kirsten developed and implemented treatment guidelines for all major hematologic and solid tumors and supportive care recommendations for community oncology practices. Entering the medical communications industry in 1994 as a medical writer, she was rapidly promoted to Senior Medical Director after proving herself as an expert content manager and client service agent.

Kirsten joined Percolation Communications (a subsidiary of Blue Ocean Pharma) in 2009. As Senior Vice President of Medical Affairs, she provides strategic oversight and has guided the expansion of the Medical Affairs team. Kirsten has successfully managed global publications and communications accounts, including execution of prelaunch, launch, and lifecycle management publication strategies. Working with opinion leaders in a diverse array of therapeutic areas, she has conducted insightful competitive intelligence programs. In addition, she has experience in developing innovative scientific tools for internal education and training, educational symposia, speaker training programs, and advisory board series encompassing a broad spectrum of therapeutic agents and therapeutic areas, including emerging issues in healthcare such as comparative effectiveness research, risk mitigation and evaluation strategies, and health economics and outcomes research. Solidifying her role as a strategic partner with superb client service, Kirsten has built successful relationships with influential and renowned physicians, nurses, and pharmacists in academic and business settings.
