Kerry Roark, MPH

Sr. VP, Account Services

If you want to be efficient, get things done, and know that the person responsible for making this happen has your back, then look no further. Kerry is the ultimate team player – this is true no matter the situation; at home, at work or in her leisure time, Kerry has a laser focus and is constantly evaluating any situation to make it the best for all involved. Kerry is organized beyond belief and runs a tight ship. It may sound like Kerry is all work and no play, but that could not be further from the truth. She loves spending time at SF Giants games, with friends and mostly with her family, watching her son’s play sports. Ask her about her role in the Percolation huddle video where she wore a pink boa and lip-synched to Pink’s “Raise Your Glass.” Kerry has a great sense of humor and loves to laugh and have a good time.

Kerry completed her undergraduate degree with a degree in psychology, with a minor in child development, from California State University, Sacramento. She received her Master’s of Public Health degree from San Jose State University.

Kerry has extensive experience in many facets of the healthcare industry. She has held positions with nonprofit organizations, hospitals, and government organizations and brings a wealth of experience in the development, implementation, and evaluation of promotional and educational programs to Percolation Communications.

In her current role at Percolation Communications, Kerry is responsible for managing publication-related projects for several key clients. She is also instrumental in initiating and implementing company processes to ensure company efficiency, quality of services, and client satisfaction.

In her previous position as Associate Client Services Director at Helix Medical Communications, Kerry managed a variety of programs, such as summits, speaker trainings, CME activities, advisory boards, and publication related-activities. She was responsible for driving many projects from inception to completion, which included preparing and managing multiple project budgets and timelines simultaneously to ensure business was delivered efficiently, on time, on budget, and maximized client satisfaction. In addition to Kerry’s project work, she was responsible for implementing policies and procedures to ensure company profitability. She managed a team of program managers and was responsible for project resourcing. Kerry is exceptional at cultivating relationships with clients, faculty, and internal team members.

Before joining Helix, Kerry was a program manager with San Mateo County Health Services Agency, with the San Mateo County Department of Public Health. In this role, she developed, implemented, and evaluated county-wide strategic plans and needs assessments; she also managed several patient education programs and social marketing campaigns for the public. Kerry also worked at Kaiser Permanente as a Senior Healthcare Specialist, where she designed, marketed, managed, and evaluated numerous region-wide patient education programs and trained physicians and other hospital staff on integrating quality health education services into their clinic settings. In both these roles, Kerry’s focus was on designing and implementing programs to improve patient education. Besides working on the management of such programs, she was an integral part of starting several community coalitions for the public.

Kerry has extensive experience with health conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, obesity, hyperlipidemia, congestive heart failure, chronic pain, and asthma, as well as the design and implementation of patient education programs such as smoking cessation, stress management, physical activity, and healthy nutrition to address such health conditions.
